Dr. Eugene P. Frenkel (1929-2019) was a Professor of Medicine in the Harold P. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern. His specialty was breast cancer research. He held the Elaine Dewey Sammons Distinguished Chair in Cancer Research, the Kenneth Pye Professorship in Cancer Research, and the Raymond D. and Patsy R. Nasher Distinguished Chair in Cancer Research. Dr. Frenkel joined the faculty in 1962.
