Norman Thagard, M.D. and Russian cosmonaut Gennadiĭ M. Strekalov watch as an IMAX camera floats near them aboard the Mir space station where Thagard conducted research for 115 days. While the IMAX motion picture camera had flown on many of NASA's Space Shuttle missions, the color Electronic Still Camera (ESC) that recorded this image made its first flight in space on this mission.
