Dr. John D. McConnell joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1984. He held a number of clinical and administrative positions throughout his time, including chairman of Urology, culminating in the post of Executive Vice-President for Clinical Affairs. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Medicine. Dr. McConnell left UT Southwestern in 2008.
