Dr. William B. Neaves joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1972 as an assistant professor of cell biology.
In 1980, he was appointed as the Dean of the Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, a position he held until 1988.
In 1986, he was also appointed the Interim Dean of Southwestern Medical School, a position he held until June 1988.
In September 1989, he was appointed the Dean of Southwestern Medical School and he held that position until 1998, when he was appointed Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.
He left UT Southwestern in 2000.
