Dr. David L. Garbers directed the Cecil H. and Ida Green Center for Reproductive Biology Sciences at UT Southwestern. Dr. Garbers joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1990. He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1992 and to the prestigious National Academy of Sciences in 1993. He was also one of the longest-serving Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigators, from 1976 until the time of his death.
