Dr. Willis Maddrey is an internationally-recognized expert on liver disease. He is a Professor Emertis of Internal Medicine. Dr. Maddrey has authored numerous publications on hepatitis and liver disease, and has edited or co-edited nine books, including 'Transplantation of the Liver' and 'Schiff's Diseases of the Liver.' In 2000, he received the Distinguished Service Award from the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease for his scientific contributions. Dr. Maddrey joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1990.
