The Aston Ambulatory Care Building was the first major UT Southwestern on-campus outpatient facility where faculty physicians could see private patients. An extensive expansion to the building was completed in 1993. The building was named in honor of the late James W. Aston, longtime chairman of the Southwestern Medical Foundation.
