Description

Although the St. Paul Training School for Nurses opened in 1900, it did not have its own building until 1922, when the St. Paul Nurses' Home and School building opened at 3218 San Jacinto Street on the St. Paul campus. Nursing students had previously lived in a top-floor dormitory of the sanitarium itself. In this era, it was common for hospitals to provide dormitory-style housing for nurse and nursing students.
