Dr. Charles C. Tandy is a 1953 graduate of Southwestern Medical School. He went on to complete his internship and residency in anesthesiology at Parkland Memorial Hospital and joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1958 as a clinical instructor in the Department of Anesthesiology. For 54 years, Dr. Tandy served as an anesthesiologist on staff at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas. From 1987 to 1993, Dr. Tandy was a member of the Dallas City Council. The UT Southwestern Archives holds the Charles C. Tandy Collection, which consists of class and study notes that document Dr. Tandy's time as a student at UT Southwestern from 1949 to 1953. Dr. Tandy donated the collection to the archives in 2004.
