Dr. Peter Roland is Professor Emeritus of Otolaryngology's Head and Neck Surgery at UT Southwestern. He was also Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology from 2002 to 2014. He is one of the nation's leading experts in cochlear implants, and has implanted them in children as young as one year old. He also treats problems in hearing, ear disease, balance disturbance, facial nerve injury and tumors of the skull base. Dr. Roland is the author of over 150 publications, including two books, 'Hearing Loss' and 'Ototoxicity'. He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1985.
