Dr. Norman F. Gant is Professor Emeritus of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Southwestern and was Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 1977 to 1983. He was a co-author of the well-known textbook 'Williams Obstetrics' for the five editions published from the 1985 through 2001. A 1964 graduate of Southwestern Medical School, he was elected to the prestigious Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences in 2001.
