Dedicated in 2001, the North Campus Prothro Plaza and Gardens are encircled on three sides by the Simmons, Hamon, and Seay biomedical buildings. The plaza and gardens are named after the late C. Vincent (Vin) Prothro, who was instrumental in arranging the donation by the John T. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation of the land on which the North Campus is located.
