Dr. Charles B. Mullins was Chief Executive Officer of Parkland Memorial Hospital from 1979 to 1981. In December 1981, he left Parkland to serve as Executive Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs of The University of Texas System, a post he retained for 20 years. He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1968. In 2004, he was named an Ashbel Smith Professor by the UT Board of Regents.
