Peter Fitzgerald began as Executive Vice-President for Business Affairs for UT Southwestern in March 1988. He retired as Executive Vice-President for Administration in January 2001 and periodically served as a consultant to UT Southwestern after his retirement. He held a doctorate from Stanford University in higher education administration.
