Dr. Bruce Fallis received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1952. In 1957, he joined the faculty of the Department of Pathology at UT Southwestern and taught pathology to more than 3,000 students until his resignation in 1980 to go into private practice. The Pathology Department has honored Dr. Fallis with a student scholarship endowment named in his honor, as well as the Bruce D. Fallis Resident Award, which was established to honor Dr. Fallis' dedication to teaching medical students and residents. The 1964 yearbook was dedicated to Dr. Fallis.
