Dr. Walter Norton graduated from Yale University in 1955 and received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1959. He did a medical internship at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine and then a residency/fellowship in rheumatology at UT Southwestern. He joined the faculty in the Department of Internal Medicine from 1963 to 1967.
