Dr. Jack E. Ponder received his medical degree from Tulane University in 1955. In 1959, Ponder was a resident in psychiatry at Parkland Memorial Hospital. During his time at UT Southwestern (1960 to approximately 1977), Dr. Ponder served in several faculty roles in the Department of Psychiatry, beginning as a clinical assistant in 1960 and achieving the rank of clinical assistant professor in 1971.
