In this photo, Dr. Betty Hatten is seen using an electron microscope. Dr. Hatten received both her Master of Arts and Ph.D. from UT Southwestern in 1962 and 1965, respectively. Her master's thesis, "Reactions in Various Animals to Klebsiella Antigens," and Ph.D. dissertation, "Intracellular Production of Brucella L-Forms," are in the holdings of the UT Southwestern Archives.
