Dr. George Lister is Professor and Associate Dean for Education. He holds the Robert L. Moore Chair in Pediatrics. Dr. Lister came to UT Southwestern in 2003 as Chair of Pediatrics, a position he held until becoming Associate Dean for Education in 2011. Dr. Lister’s research has focused on oxygen transport during postnatal development. He has had a distinguished career in pediatrics, and has served as a senior editor of the well-known textbook “Rudolph’s Pediatrics”. He was elected to the prestigious Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences in 2006.
