Dr. Robert W. Lackey was one of the original faculty members at Southwestern Medical College when it opened in 1943. He taught physiology until his retirement to become professor emeritus in 1969. He was also Chairman of Physiology from 1950 to 1955. Before coming to Southwestern Medical College, he taught physiology at Baylor University College of Medicine from 1922 to 1943.
