Dr. Donald W. Seldin joined the Southwestern Medical School faculty in 1951, and the next year became Professor and Chairman of Internal Medicine. He led the department of Internal Medicine for 36 years and was instrumental in building Southwestern into the institution it is today. He recruited distinguished physicians and researchers to the campus and guided the development of the brightest of his own students into brilliant Southwestern Medical School faculty.
