Dr. J. Gregory Fitz is Dean Emeritus. He was the Executive Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Provost and Dean of Southwestern Medical School, as well as Professor of Internal Medicine. He held the Nadine and Tom Craddick Distinguished Chair in Medical Science as well as the Atticus James Gill, M.D., Chair in Medical Science. He headed the medical school since 2009. Dr. Fitz joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2003 as Chairman of Internal Medicine.
