Dr. Melanie H. Cobb is Professor of Pharmacology, and holds the Jane and Bill Browning, Jr. Chair in Medical Science. Her research focuses on how cells respond to external chemical signals. She joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 1983, and was Dean of the UT Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences from 2003 to 2010. She is a member of the prestigious National Academy of Sciences.
