Completed in 1958, the Hoblitzelle Building was the second structure on the Southwestern Medical School’s Harry Hines Blvd. campus, and adjoins the back of the Edward H. Cary Building, seen here on the right. It contains offices and laboratories. The building is named for Karl Hoblitzelle, who was a member of the Southwestern Medical Foundation board in the 1940s when the Foundation was starting Southwestern Medical School, which opened in 1943.
