At the time of this photo, circa 1959, the Southwestern Medical School campus consisted of the Cary Building (foreground, completed 1955) and the Hoblitzelle Building (immediately behind Cary, completed in 1958). Parkland Memorial Hospital (completed in 1954) was a close neighbor.
