Description

This photo, taken from the McDermott Administration Building tower, shows the construction of the connector between the brand new Green Science Building and the recently-completed Jonsson Building. In the foreground is the excavation for one of the underground lecture halls below the McDermott Plaza. In November, 1972, while the construction was in progress, the former Southwestern Medical School campus was reorganized to include three schools: Southwestern Medical School, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and the School of Allied Health Sciences, and was renamed "The University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas."
