Description

Southwestern Medical School moved into this new building--adjacent to Parkland Memorial Hospital--in 1955. First called the Basic Science Hall, Dr. Edward H. Cary's name was later added to recognize his role in the founding of the medical school. Prominent Dallas architect Mark Lemmon was consulting architect for the building.
