Dr. Nick Grishin is professor of biochemistry at UT Southwestern and is a Howard Hughes Medical Investigator. The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) is a philanthropic organization that promotes biomedical research. Dr. Grishin also holds the endowed title of Virginia Murchison Linthicum Scholar in Biomedical Research. He and his research colleagues study proteins by means of computational methods. He received his Ph.D. from UT Southwestern's Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in 1998.
