In 1940, the Veterans Administration opened a hospital at 4500 South Lancaster Road in Dallas' southern sector. A second hospital building was added to the campus in 1955. In this photo, the 1940 building (with the dark roof) is seen behind the 1955 building (with the flat roof). This photo dates from 1965.
