This night view of the Tom and Lula Gooch Auditorium appeared on the cover of the 1978 issue of “Health Science Spectrum,” a UT Southwestern publication. Artist David Novros’ fresco is clearly visible on the walls of the Gooch Auditorium lobby. The “Health Science Spectrum” issue contains an article about the creation of the approximately 22 foot high by 100 foot long fresco. The art work was created in true fresco fashion, by applying the pigments directly onto freshly-troweled plaster.
