The 1944 first edition of the Southwestern Medical College yearbook, "Caduceus" contained this dedication to Edward H. Cary, M.D., the person who spearheaded the founding of Southwestern. This illustration shows the 1929 bust of Dr. Cary that was presented to him by the faculty of the Baylor University College of Medicine. The bust is now in the Library of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
