The Texas Baptist Memorial Sanitarium opened at 3315 Junius Street in 1909, adjacent to the former Good Samaritan Hospital. The name was changed to Baylor Hospital in 1920 and to Baylor University Hospital in 1936. It later evolved into Baylor University Medical Center.
