A crowd is gathered next to Baylor University College of Medicine's Cary Hall (in the background, with Ramseur Science Hall on the left) to witness a groundbreaking ceremony for a medical library building. A speaker's platform with microphone is at left. A truck with a Gulf Oil logo is parked at left. After Baylor College of Medicine moved to Houston in 1943, the medical library was converted to an auditorium and then to a continuing education center for Baylor University Medical Center.
