Description

This postcard shows the color and design of the Cary Building central facade. The postcard dates from the last half of the 1950's, because the text on the back gives the name of the building as Basic Science Building. This was the name from 1955 until 1960, when Edward H. Cary's name was added, to honor his role as the driving force behind the founding of the medical school.
