This 1976 book by Dr. John S. Chapman is the definitive history of medical education in Dallas from 1900 to 1975. About 80 pages (three-quarters) of the text are devoted to Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Chapman joined the Southwestern Medical College faculty in 1945 and was Professor Emeritus of Internal Medicine at the time of his death in 2000.
