Description

An unidentified man holds the stuffed rabbit named "30K". When alive, this rabbit (which died circa 1981), produced a very high level of antibodies to glucagon, which made its blood serum very valuable for conducting glucagon assays. The serum of the rabbit was used by the laboratory of UT Southwestern faculty member Roger Unger, M.D. to conduct glucagon assays.
