Biographical Note
Dr. Andres Goth joined the faculty of Southwestern Medical College faculty in 1944 and served as Chairman of Pharmacology from 1950, when the department was first organized, until Alfred G. Gilman took over as Chairman in 1981. As a research scientist, Dr. Goth was known for his studies of the mechanisms of histamine release.
