Dr. Daniel K. Podolsky became President of UT Southwestern on September 1, 2008. In this photo he is chatting with students on his first day on campus. Dr. Podolsky is a graduate of Harvard Medical School, a member of the prestigious Institute of Medicine and National Academy of Sciences, and is the author of more than 300 original research and review articles. In 2009 he received the American Gastroenterological Association’s Julius Friedenwald Medal for Distinguished Service for his lifelong contributions to the field of gastroenterology.
