This close-up of the St. Paul entry stairway and porch appears to have been taken after the building was vacated, as evidenced by the debris on the landing and the weeds growing in front of the first step shown. Though the name was changed to St. Paul Hospital in 1927, the lintel above the doorway still reads "St. Paul Sanitarium".
