This photo of a surgical operation in progress was digitized from the 1952 Parkland School of Nursing yearbook (titled "The White Cap"). Note the open window at the left, indicating there was no air conditioning in the operating room. Air conditioning was not installed throughout Parkland until the mid-1960s.
