Description

This photo shows a groundbreaking ceremony, with about fourteen Daughters of Charity sisters and (at the extreme left) four nurses or nursing students, and a woman in street clothes. Given the large number of sisters, it seems unlikely this was the groundbreaking for the original St. Paul in 1896. It may have been the groundbreaking for the Annex building completed in November of 1916.
