Dr. Norman Kaplan's (1931-2020) teaching, writing and research focused primarily on the clinical aspects of hypertension. The 11th edition of his textbook, 'Kaplan's Clinical Hypertension', was published in 2015. Dr. Kaplan joined the UT Southwestern faculty in the early 1960s. He graduated from Southwestern Medical School in 1954.
