The O'Donnell Grove of trees on the southwest corner of UT Southwestern's North Campus was planted in 2000 to beautify the open space bordering Harry Hines Blvd. and Inwood Road. The grove is named in honor of Edith J. and Peter O'Donnell, Jr., for their extraordinary support of UT Southwestern. The Prothro Plaza and Gardens that boarder the Grove were named after the late C. Vincent (Vin) Prothro.
