Dr. Luis Parada was a Professor and Chairman of the UT Southwestern Department of Developmental Biology, and held two distinguished chairs. He joined the faculty in 1994. He has been honored with membership in the prestigious National Academy of Sciences and was elected to the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences in 2007.
