Sir Peter Medawar served as the third annual Jonsson Visiting Professor at UT Southwestern. Sir Medawar spoke before the Twelfth Annual Sigma Xi Graduate Student Research Forum on October 22nd and delivered an address at a faculty seminar two days later. Sir Medawar received the 1960 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for demonstrating that immunological tolerance occurred in cattle twins and that it could be experimentally conferred in mice.
