Dr. Claus G. Roehrborn is Professor and Chairman of Urology at UT Southwestern, and holder of two endowed chairs. His clinical specialty is treatment of prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia, and he is a national leader in robotically-assisted and laser prostatectomy. He also pioneered the use of microwaves to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia. In 2010, he received the second annual Patricia and William L. Watson Jr., M.D., Award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine. Dr. Roehrborn joined the faculty in 1992.
