Sister Elizabeth Steiner of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul--the order that operated St. Paul Hospital--was administrator of the hospital during the planning and construction of the new building on Harry Hines Blvd. In this photo, she wears the Daughters of Charity habit, with the distinctive "cornette" headpiece, that was in use until September 20, 1964.
